EXAMINATIONS
You will sit a 1 hour exam at the end of the two year course. The paper will be divided into two parts. Part one consisting of short answer and part two will require longer responses. Questions will be centred around your knowledge of the Construction Industry.
COURSEWORK
For your Employment in the Construction Industry Project, you will investigate the main activities of the construction industry (such as Building, Civil Engineering etc) and the main occupations within it (such as Architect, Technician, Civil Engineer, Bricklayer, Joiner, Plumber, Plasterer etc). You will then carry out and cost a project based upon one of these occupations. The second coursework project allows you to design a building in accordance with all Health and Safety regulations. Using CAD you will be asked to produce annotated two dimensional drafts of a building.
