COURSE CONTENT

You will study:

Two studies in depth - Germany c.1918 - c.1941. Peace war and neutrality: Britain, Northern Ireland and Ireland and the 2nd World War.

One outline study - The Cold War (Superpower rivalry) c.1945 - 1991.

ASSESSMENT

Written Examination

Paper 1                            50%

EXAMINATIONS

You will sit 2 papers at the end of the 2 year course.

Paper 1: 2 hours - short answer and structured questions

Paper 2: 1hr 15mins - Structured questions. One is based on the use of source material

COURSEWORK

You will complete 1 piece of coursework (maximum 2000 words). It will be based on a topic related to the areas covered in class. Pupils will be required to use historical sources as part of their coursework.
