CARE – Children and Play Activities

 

COURSE CONTENT

 

You will study:

 

To use activities with children that encourage talking and listening
To set up a book area.
To make visual aids to help with story telling and nursery rhymes.
To devising and improvise children’s games.
To use table-top activities help children’s development..
To adapt games to enable children with particular needs to participate.

 

ASSESSMENT

 

You will be required to:

 

Recall your knowledge and understanding within the area of Child Care

Knowledge, understanding and skills in the area of Child Care in a range of practical tasks.

Analyse and evaluate your work and make judgements about your performance and where improvements can be made.

 

Assessment within this Occupational Studies unit is ongoing throughout the year.

The final moderation and assessment will take place at the end of year 11.
