Personal and Social Education
Personal Social and Health Education is taught from Year 8 up to Year 12.
PSHE covers a whole range of social issues incorporated into four themes:
- Personal Relationships,
- Health & Safety,
- Personal Responsibility,
- Citizenship.
It is an essential part of the curriculum in terms of the pupils' social and emotional development, preparing them for later in life.
Within this subject pupils will have the opportunity to develop:
- Communication skills,
- Decision making skills,
- The ability to make moral judgments,
- Interpersonal skills,
- Assertiveness,
- The ability to act responsibly.
