Pastoral Care
It is the aim of Castle High School to provide a safe and secure place where pupils can achieve their full potential.
It is the belief of those involved in the education of the pupils of Castle High School that all pupils can achieve and that all pupils have strengths and talents which can be developed.
In order to achieve the above all pupils should follow our 5 Key Points for Pupils Declaration:

Arrive on time to class and school,

Always be prepared for school,

Look after their school and each other,

Are quiet when others are speaking,
-
Always do as they are asked by staff.
Full copies of all our attendance, behaviour, bullying, child protection, drugs, special educational needs, residential and away days and pastoral care policies are available on request from the school. Also they will be made available for download from this site in the School Policies section when the new updated policies have been okayed by the school board of governors in the near future.

Please note:

It is especially important that:

all pupils wear a blazer

no one wears trainers
-
the only acceptable shoes are BLACK school shoes

no one wears a sweatshirt
Jewellery is strictly limited to one small ring and one pair of small sleeper or stud earrings.
On the grounds of 'Health and Safety' no form of piercing is permitted e.g. tongue stud, eye stud, belly button bar etc. outdoor clothing may not be worn during the school day
Mobile Phones are not permitted to be switched on at any time during school. Any phone switched on during class will be confiscated by staff, sent to the general office where it may be collected by the pupil at the END of the school day. Camera Phones should NOT be brought to school. If this is ignored the school cannot be responsible for ANY photographs taken by anyone. The school cannot be responsible for mobile phones if brought to school.
