Castle High Year 8

All staff work hard to ensure that Year 8 pupils
settle in to their new school as quickly and confidently as possible.

In order to make the transition from
Primary to Secondary School as smooth as possible:

We operate a 'Base Room' to assist the pupils with the transistion from Primary to Secondary School.

P7 visits are organised for pupils to see their new school and sample life in secondary school.  There is a Key Stage 3 Co-ordinator who will meet with year 8 pupils in June before they start their new school.

An open evening and open mornings allow
parents to view the school and talk to staff.

A year 8 parent's night in October gives parents the opportunity
to meet with their child's form tutor and year tutor
and find out how their child is settling in to life at Castle High School.
